Please review all information below before registering for a timeslot.
UNG is working in coordination with the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), which oversees the planning and distribution of vaccines. Because of limited vaccine availability and personnel, UNG is able to administer vaccines to current UNG students, faculty and staff only.
In the current phase of vaccine distribution, the UNG community members who are eligible to receive the vaccine include:
- Healthcare workers, including Student Health Services personnel; faculty, staff and students in the College of Health Sciences & Professions working or enrolled in nursing, physical therapy, or counseling; Corps of Cadets medics; Student Counseling Center staff; and UNG Athletics medical staff and trainers
- First responders, including Public Safety personnel, police officers
- COVID-19 surveillance testing personnel
- Those who are 65 years of age or older and their caregivers
- Long-term care facilities staff
- Immunocompromised (disease state or medication induced i.e., biologics, steroids)
- Acute illness
- Significant allergic response to other medications or vaccines
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- Under the age of 18 years (Moderna guideline)
- Have received any other vaccine within 2 weeks
Making an appointment:
- All vaccinations will require an appointment, and registrants must meet the eligibility criteria above.
- Appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to current UNG students, faculty and staff from any campus.
- Spaces for each session are limited. However, there will be a limited number of waitlist spaces available. Persons on the waitlist will be contacted if a space becomes available through cancellation or additional vaccinations becoming available. Efforts will be made to offer those on the waitlist priority registration for the next vaccination opportunity.
