Mission
Advisees work with Professional Advisors for the first 45 earned credit hours to understand their interests and strengths as related to their chosen majors, the core curriculum, registration and program policies and procedures, academic support services, and the process to establish academic goals. Students then transition to faculty advisors for the junior and senior years where they receive a greater focus on mentoring and identifying internships and other discipline-specific learning and career opportunities.

Our philosophy is one of advising as teaching, and our mission is to assist students in constructing meaningful educational plans based on their interests and abilities and consistent with each student's academic, professional, and personal goals. Academic advising fosters the development of students who are self-directed, responsible decision-makers, and supports the successful completion of degree requirements.

Student Orientation and Success (SOS) is dedicated to supporting students aged 23 and older, as well as those with adult responsibilities, by providing the tools and resources needed to guide them through their journey at UNG. Whether you are entering college for the first time, returning to complete a degree, or seeking career advancement, our Adult Learner Programs are designed to help you succeed.

Our team is committed to helping adult learners not only achieve their academic and career goals but also discover a true sense of purpose and belonging within the Nighthawk Nation. Mission
The Aggressor Platoon is an all-volunteer extracurricular unit sponsored by the military department and the Boar's Head Brigade. Founded in 1963, the platoon's original mission was to serve as the opposing force for pre-camp operations. More recently, the unit mission has changed to provide realistic training and small unit, light infantry, and Ranger tactics. The training is physically tough and mentally demanding, requiring the utmost of those who feel they're up to the challenge of being an aggressor.

Those who take up the challenge are taught in the classroom and apply what they have learned in some of the most realistic field problems the University of North Georgia can provide. In the end, the blood, sweat, and tears pay off. Every year the aggressors come out ahead of their peers at advanced camp and are found leading the Corps of Cadets. Despite where they are found, no matter what they are doing, aggressors will always be out front leading the way.

It is the Mission of the ACC to familiarize Cadets with the U.S Army Chaplain Corps, and to prepare these students to recognize problems in their assigned units, while advising their commanders on how to handle these issues and guiding students to the proper resources. Also the ACC, in recognition of the pluralistic religious setting of the Regular Army, Cadet Chaplains of the ACC provide opportunities for religious support (worship Service Organizations, religious classes, prayers, and so forth) for individuals from all religious backgrounds in the Corps of Cadets. Chaplains cooperate with each other without compromising their faith, tradition, or ecclesiastical background, to ensure the most comprehensive religious support opportunities possible within the unique Corps of Cadets organization.

The goal is that students might develop into people of integrity with a meaningful faith, strong character, and high morals. The Baptist Collegiate Ministry will promote devotion to God and service to their fellow man.

We exist to glorify God and worship Him.

We teach what God's Word teaches to anyone (believers in Christ as well as anyone who is interested), we encourage believers in their relationship with Christ, we provide accountability for each other, we have small group Bible studies, we connect students with a local church, and we reach people who do not know Christ (whether someone used to believe and renounced their faith, or if someone never had faith in Christ).

We would love to have you join us on Wednesdays 12:00pm - 1:00pm in Nesbitt 3110B (the Cleveland Ballroom)! At our Wednesday meetings, we have worship, preaching from the Bible, and fellowship!
