The 1890s are known in Europe as the "Mauve Decade," after a new color that became popular in fashion. Sinfonietta has prepared two exceptional works by leading composers of the era: Hubart Parry of England (where mauve dye was invented) and Erik Satie of France. The program will be as follows:
Parry, Lady Radnor's Suite (1894)
I. Prelude
II. Allemande
IV. Bouree
Satie, Gymnopédie No. 1 (1888)
Parry, Lady Radnor's Suite (1894)
III. Sarabande
VI. Gigue

We look forward to sharing our music with you!
