The Music Department presents Faculty Recital “Piano Olympics” featuring Joe Chapman
Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 7:30PM ~ Hoag Student Center Auditorium, Dahlonega Campus

Dr. Joe Chapman will present An Evening with Schubert, on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 PM in the Hoag Student Center Auditorium, located on the University of North Georgia Dahlonega campus. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend. The concert will feature the Wanderer Fantasy, which has been aptly described as Piano Olympics due to its numerous challenging scale and arpeggio passages, along with a climactic barrage of massive chords near the end.
Dr. Chapman is the Senior Professor of Music at the University of North Georgia, having joined the faculty in 1983. He has performed hundreds of solo recitals for arts associations, colleges, schools, and churches throughout the state of Georgia, and he has served the music profession through leadership in various professional music organizations. In November 2023, he was named Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Music Teachers Association.
