Do you have difficulty speaking up in class or in groups? Is it hard for you to initiate conversations? Do you worry about how others are evaluating you and finding yourself more "in your head" than in the conversation? If so, come join the Social Confidence Group where you will learn that you are not alone. If you think social anxiety is negatively affecting your relationships, your work, or your overall mental health, this group might be the next step for you. Facilitators utilize evidence-based group therapy to help participants learn to identify and shift unhealthy thinking patterns, build coping skills, and increase confidence in a supportive environment at your own pace. Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it, that's the point.'" –Veronica Roth

Pre-screening is required for participation in this group. For a pre-screening appointment, please contact Student Counseling at 706-867-4402 ext. 2.
