Juried BFA Exhibition Entry Form

The Roy C. Moore Art Gallery on the Gainesville campus at the University of North Georgia is pleased to announce a Call for Entries for our first Juried BFA exhibition. This opportunity is open to all current Department of Visual Arts BFA students In Dahlonega and Gainesville.

The juror is Beth Sale, former Curator of the Lyndon House Art Center in Athens, Georgia. Sale also served as the first Director of Art Galleries at UNG. Sale is a painter who holds a BFA in Painting from the University of Georgia and a MFA in Studio Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Beth Sale has chosen not to assign a theme to the exhibition. Instead, she encourages you to submit your best work and find your own voice as an artist.

You may submit up to 3 works. There is no entry fee.

Important Dates:

On View: September 30 – October 25
• Deadline: Entries must be received by Friday, September 6 at 12 p.m.
• Notification will be sent by Friday, September 20.
• Accepted entries must be delivered to the Roy C. Moore Art Gallery (Gainesville Campus, Performing Arts Building) between Monday,
September 23 and Thursday, September 26 during gallery hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The work must remain on view through October 24.
• Exhibition Dates: The exhibition will be on view from September 30 to October 25.
• The reception will be Wednesday, October 16, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
• Work must be picked up from the gallery on Monday, October 28th, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Entry Requirements:
* Current UNG Department of Visual Arts BFA student from any campus
* All accepted entries must be ready to hang with a wire securely attached to the back of the artwork (if 2D). Works on paper must be framed. Paintings on stretched canvas or on cradled panel can remain unframed but must have a wire for hanging. Maximum size for 2D works is 36 x 48 inches.
*Maximum size for 3D works requiring a pedestal is 24 x 24 inches at the base. Any 3D work which will hang on the wall must be less than 20 pounds. Maximum size for 3D work which sits on the floor is 36 x 36 inches at the base and 48 inches tall.
